About Firnic
We started Firnic because capital should never be the bottleneck to honest work.
Our Origin
In Ghana's ride-hailing economy, the barrier to entry isn't a lack of willing drivers or available vehicles. It's the upfront deposit. Garages require GH¢5,000–10,000 to release a vehicle on a work-and-pay arrangement—capital that most hardworking drivers simply do not have on hand.
We started Firnic to bridge this exact gap. By stepping in to fund the deposit directly to the garage, we allow drivers to get behind the wheel and start earning immediately. The driver repays us on a structured schedule out of their earnings, while the garage gets the security they need.
Operating Principles
Transparent Terms
No hidden fees or surprise rate hikes. Drivers know exactly what they owe and exactly when it is due before signing the loan agreement.
Direct-to-Garage Disbursement
Funds are never routed through the driver. We pay the garage directly, eliminating misappropriation risk and building immediate trust with our partners.
Structured Guarantor Process
We rely on a robust community verification system. Guarantors are verified strictly to ensure accountability and shared responsibility.
Fair Default Handling
We work closely with garages in the event of a default, reclaiming deposits proportionally and maintaining clear, documented communication lines.
